Small’s Bar
10339 Conant, Hamtramck MI 48212
(313) 873-1117
Small’s Bar has been around since 1999, and as an independent venue has been recognized with “Best Rock Club,” “Best Live Music Venue,” “Best Bar on Paczki Day,” “Best Club Night: Thirst Wave,” “Best Live Music Bar,” and “Best Sound and Lights.”
Small’s is also where Raev really honed his craft as a DJ – as he’s their longest running regular guest DJ with their club nights. Raev studied the approach that the owners took to running a club night, has been friends with the DJs for anywhere between 15-35 years (depending on which DJ), and the Small’s crew was instrumental in advising Raev on setting up Asylum.
It’s been said that Small’s is the spiritual motherland to Asylum Windsor, and without their early support this may never have happened.
